Looking for a button that would change content within the same view? Similar to Dwain’s Dashboard where you click the buttons on the left and the content on the right changes depending on which buttons were clicked on.
Haven’t had a look myself but isn’t that the honeycomb menu (found in HACS) would allow? From the description I’ve seen this might come close to your needs.
I’ve used he honeycomb menu and it’s not it. The honeycomb menu is another way of doing a dropdown menu.
What I want is to click a button and the contents in another area of the view changes. It’s like the group of buttons are menu items in a sidebar that when clicked on, the contents changes.
As said not tested myself, it only did spring to mind since I stumbled across it when browsing the HACS portfolio.
Subview is a pretty basic concept as is these folder-entity-row concept or the tabbed-card where you could switch between differnt tabs. But all of these even in combination won’t match what you’re after. Can’t think of anything else.
did you ever find a solution?
Not sure if this is any help. Could you not have a custom button with call service text set value with a helper entity. Then custom state switch card showing a card depending of the state of the helper entity.
In some cases a standard visibility feature for cards can be used as well.
