Cabling shelly 1 pm

Hi all,

Quick question: how do I have to configure a shelly 1pm? No matter what I do, there is never any voltage on 0 or sw. I see current on N though, and the shelly had its Web interface up, so it’s working in general.

What am I missing here?

I have no real switch, I just want to use the shelly to toggle a 230v device on and off.

And I am 99% sure the lamp is not attached Properly, but it doesn’t matter anyway couse there is no current anyway…

When I change the cabling of the lamp, I have current on sw permanently, no matter if I turn shelly on or off.
The lamp, though, never turns on.

Neutral is normally the blue wire, brown is the live wire (current) and that is switched by shelly to 0.
Connect blue to N and one wire from lamp to N, connect brown to L and the other wire from the lamp to 0.
… or call an electrician.

Do the colors really matter for euro sockets? I thought it wouldn’t because I can turn the plug this way or that way

Oh ok, you were right

If you turn the plug you need to reconnnect the shelly. The wire with current goes to L, the other to N.
One wire with N to Lamp, the other to 0.

Ah, I think I understand now. It works both ways to power the shelly, but it matters for the end device because of how SW works, right?

SW is meant to be connected to a switch for manually switching.
