Calendar can no longer retrieve events

I’ve been using Google calendar for a long time without problems, but suddenly I get the message that it could not retrieve events for my gmail calendar. I deleted the integration, keeping the credentials, and reinstalled. Google reported success in connecting the app, but I still get the error. What next in troubleshooting?

Fixed in patch release 2023.11.4 (currently unreleased)
