Today I installed the new Cambridge Audio integration by @noahhusby, thanks a lot!
Until today I use a custom component that controls my Evo 150 through DLNA.
One important feature thats not included yet is Output select. The entity state doesn’t report the output, and there doesn’t seem to be an option to switch outputs. In the custom component I integrated ‘output select’ by using the ‘soundmode’ part of the media player entity. It’d be great if the same could be done with this integration.
I literally use it dozens of times a day. Every time I walk between my bedroom and living room it switches outputs, which is very useful
Thanks for giving the integration a try. I’ve had a few issues regarding the Evo 150 reported which is likely a result of it using a slightly different model structure then the CXN v2 (which is what I have been testing against). We can definitely the selection added as a field.
I’ll follow up with more information as I work through the bug fixes and feature requests here.
I added this feature to the official Cambridge Audio integration and it will be released with 2024.11. I opted to add an additional select entity for selecting speaker output rather than using the Sound Mode box in the media player. Since some Cambridge devices (receivers mostly) support changing sound modes, that box is reserved for that feature.
Would you be able to share the list of audio outputs from your Cambridge Device so I can see what options with IDs are available? (We use custom translations for the id to name so that it can be translated in Home Assistant). My device doesn’t support selecting an output device so I’m unable to get the data myself

Your work is much appreciated! Sorry I missed your comments completely, but I just noticed the new entities and now I can finally switch to your integration. The ‘display brightness’ entity is also great, I use that for when I watch a movie, but until now had to do it with button presses through my harmony.
