I have a couple of cameras installed in home assistant through ONVIF and FFMPEG.
When i install a entity card the preview pictures always shows an incomplete image.
When selecting “live” it works fine, but would like “auto” to work => new screenshot every 10 seconds is OK for me.
Does anyone know how i can solve this problem?
When i chose a camera full screen, there is no problem.

Network issue or data write issue?
If I try to save file to disk and drive is too slow to save data or writing data faster than it’s arriving I may miss details. The stuff written show as smear(what you got in sample photo)
Sorry I explain poorly and mostly incorrect but this is the cause of that. To correct it you have to troubleshoot.
How is image on camera? Always ok. Color missing. Same as sample…
What about other cameras? same result . Worse. Same.
Does reduce image size or frame rate improve this?
Is image always this or intermittent?

In home assistant if I select “live” instead of “auto” there is no problem.
The cameras are ok, they are also connected to a NVr en TV and there are no such blurry shots
I only have this in Home assistant, in a card, with cameraview “auto” (10 seconds shot)
I am seeing this issue too with a tplink tapo camera connected using the onvif integration.
Every so often you get a good image as it refreshes the preview.
Live stream is always fine.
I have tried changing the rtsp protocol in the onvif integration and switching to the minor stream but still the same.
The issue seems to occur only on my higher resolution camera so I think it’s a timing issue. Not enough time to take a full preview of the camera. Not sure if this can be adjusted or if there is another method of making a preview card?
