Can a custom panel appear within the main front end tabs?

Hi there,

From what I can tell, there are two ways of creating customized user interface:

  • Custom panels (accessed via the menu on the left)
  • Custom UI state cards (embedded within the main tabs of the front end)

I have already created a custom panel for viewing triggered zones in our house (i.e. floorplan view), and it works really well. I explained it here:

Because it’s a custom panel, whenever I want to access it, I need to expand the left menu and navigate to the page. Ideally, it would be great to have this custom panel appear as a tab within the main front end, and possibly even as a group within a tab. Is that possible?

I had a look at creating custom UI state cards, but that concept seems to be geared towards customizing a single entity, whereas I’m looking for a way to create a custom UI state card for a group of entities.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pete
