Can a sensor have a similar logging view as a binary sensor?

Hi,
I have several sensors that can have three states (open/closed/ajar).
I would like to have a logging view that is similar to that of a binary sensor.

If you open the details of a binary sensor entity, you can see this view:

It would be great to have this as well for (some) sensors, instead of this:

For sensors that can only have a limited set of values, the “binary sensor view” makes more sense, I think.
