Can a Shelly 1 Gen 4 flashed with ESPHome control an RGB LED?

Does anyone know if the expansion header on the back of a Shelly 1 Gen 4 can be used to control an RGB LED? I saw this switch on Amazon and really like the idea of having an RGB LED in my light switches. Because I’m a glutton for punishment I’m trying to use only thread for all of my smart devices that aren’t hard wired (I like the idea of keeping them off my WiFi and since I’m starting from scratch I want to use thread over Zigbee\Z-Wave). I see that the Shellys can be flashed with ESPHome which covers everting I want other than the RGB LED. I also see that the Shelly has an expansion header. What I’m not sure about is what all can be done with that expansion header.

I’m also open to other options to accomplish the same goal.

Thanks in advance.

I’m pretty sure you can’t use Add-on as digital output. It has quite complex circuit and it’s built as input device.
So your best option is to connect your RGB to expansion header pins, just remember that there’s no galvanic isolation, GND is bonded to mains L.
If you are out of your comfort zone, just forget it.

Thanks fore the reply, it’s not out of my comfort zone but GND being bonded to L would be a deal breaker. I’ll have to come up with another solution.
