Can access 4357, cannot access 8123

Brand new odroid n2 with home assistant eMMC. Wired to the LAN. Viewing using safari on an iPad connected to the Wi-Fi.

homeassistant.local:4357
is fine,
Supervisor: Connected
Supported: Supported
Healthy: Healthy

http://homeassistant.local:8123/ says
safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to server.

The unit is also connected to a keyboard and monitor, i can run core check and it completes successfully.

I have tried using the IP address in place of homeassistant.local, behaviour is the same on both ports.

In the supervisor logs is an error Home Assistant has crashed! Followed by some rebuilding, and auto fix, then the same error. I am guessing this is my problem? How can I restart it, how should I go about debugging this?

I would class myself as a beginner and definitely out of my depth.

Thanks.

I reinstalled homeassistant on the eMMC and it now looks like it’s working. The preinstallation must have been corrupt I guess.

Created an account just to say thanks for posting the follow-up. I had the same problem, was exploring firewalls and port forwarding… and it just required a reinstall. You made my evening!

A re-installation also worked for me. Thanks a lot for sharing
