Can an IMAP integration password be changed?

I’ve search but can’t find the answer to this. Can the IMAP integration password be changed?

I have an existing sensor, and just need to change my password on the IMAP account. But under both Device and Entity, I cannot find a field to just change the password.

I don’t have the IMAP integration, but as I understand it, the integration is just monitoring an IMAP server, and the password is on the server.

Did you enter a password when you installed the IMAP integration? I have a couple of integrations that install this way. If the password on the server changes, I just delete the integration and reinstall it where the setup will ask for a password.

Yeahhhhh I was wondering about that. So it’s probably stored in the server’s keychain. I’ll try to just change the password and see if I get prompted, or have to recreate.

Thank you!!

So I did find this. It’s a tad misleading…

To change the password, you need to first update the password on the IMAP account.

Then, you can go into the IMAP Integration, and it should show a red banner indicating the username or password is incorrect. Hit the “Add Entry” and it will ask you for a new password.
