I have installed the Alexa integration and my first (hopeful) use of this is to do the following:
Create a service to allow the turning on/off of lights via a Switchbot Hub Min IR blaster.
Alexa has found the device and the voice command “Alexa turn on Kitchen Cabinet Lights” does trigger my Alexa Show to send the IR signal fromm the Hub Mini successfully. So I know this skill works in Alexa. I just cannot fathom how I can send this via Home Assistant. I would want to be able to do this in Automations, which may be triggered by differing events (timed and device driven).
I have seen that other HA developers have contemplated interfacing with Alexa to trigger Switchbot Hub Mini commands but don’t know if they succeeded.
