Can I remove a thread device from Google Home, but still use my Nest Hub as the border router?

TL;DR Can you remove a thread device from the Google Home app, but still have HA communicate with it through the Nest Hub TBR?

I’m using my Nest Hub (2nd Gen) as my thread border router, and I’m using it to communicate with a thread device (Level Bolt lock). I set it up using the Google Home app first, then added it to Home Assistant. I also have the Google Assistant integration set up in HA.

I’m seeing the lock twice in the Google Home app (one directly, and one through HA), and my Google Assistant doesn’t know which lock to use unless I rename one of them. This is what I’m doing now, and it works fine, but it’s definitely kludgey. If I remove the direct entry from Google Home, will it still allow the lock to communicate with HA using the Nest Hub’s TBR, or will it remove the device from its thread network entirely?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes. Removing a Matter-over-Thread device from Google Home ecosystem control should not remove its connectivity from your Thread network. It will remain connected to your network and under the control of any other fabrics to which it was added.
