Can i turn on wifi lights with a zigbee sensor on deco m9 plus

hi, i am new here and using home assisant for a while now
i have deco m9 plus all my smarthome devices are wifi
now i was thinking to buy a motion sensor but (i am still learning) and wanted to buy a zigbee sensor
the m 9 plus should have zigbee support
my question is maybe dumb and i did’nt find a clear answer on the internet
can i with this setup turn on a wifi light when the zigbee sensor detects movement
without yet another hub?

If your zigbee sensor is visible in Home Assistant via the M9 plus then it should be possible to setup an automation to control your devices. If it doesn’t work you better look into a dedicated zigbee hub or dongle (for example Sonoff zigbee dongle E or SMLight SLZB-06)
