Can I use custom Alexa skills with the Nabu Casa Cloud Alexa integration?

For years, I’ve been using a custom Alexa skill hosted on AWS as detailed here. I started using the Nabu Casa Cloud integration shortly after it was announced.

As of 2022.2, when I enable Nabu Casa Cloud, I get a 404 error for the /api/alexa endpoint that I’d been using for my skill.

I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to drop the Alexa component now that I use the Nabu Casa
Alexa component.

Is anyone doing this? Is it as simple as pointing the AWS code to a new endpoint? Do I need different code on AWS?

Have you updated BASE_URL and Account linking ?

I have the same base URL that I had been using. My URL hasn’t changed.

If I update to 2022.2, I can’t link since linking uses the /ap/alexa URL that results in a 404 error.

I’m not necessarily looking for a solution to that issue here, though. I’m wondering if running both integrations is overkill and unnecessary.

I can’t tell you for sure, but I asked some friends that have nabu and they said it is necessary if you want to keep functionality.
