This has been quite frustrating and exhausting trying to find a solution for this problem. When using the home assistant companion app, the sidebar is not available. There’s a left arrow in a circle in the top left corner but it does nothing. I’ve looked back on many posts and it seems as though this issue has been going on for 2+ years! I see some convoluted scripting proposals but nothing seems to be working to restore it. Does someone have a real solution for this that actually works? At this point, I’m unable to add any devices via matter as it requires the companion app to do so. Home Assistant is running bare metal on a Dell 5070 Wyse thin client with the latest version of HA and a home assistant USB Skyconnect dongle.
I’m using an Android Pixel 7 and also a Lenovo chrome tablet. The only way I can view/access the sidebar is to do it through a browser via desktop view. Unfortunately, you can’t add matter devices in any way other than using the home assistant companion app which won’t display the sidebar menu.
I was having an issue with all of my aqara devices showing as unavailable in home assistant, which were previously working flawlessly. I went in and unbound matter in the aqara app and removed/re-added the matter integration in HA. Home Assistant shows my 23 devices again but they are all still “unavailable” . The device’s work properly in the aqara app and also in Google Home. Many thanks for any assistance in resolving this issue.
