Can not POLL some zwave devices

I have a number of zwave devices that I am not able to poll. It seems to be mainly older devices and it will cost me a lot to replace them. I need to monitor what has been turned on and to automatically turn of after a specific time or after a time + a event. It is mainly Duewi switches, motor control and dimmers… When they are operated from SW the poll works fine but when they are operated manually the POLL does not work…

I have searched the forum without finding a solution but it seems that older devices might have problems with polling… This is very strange as a important part of a automation is to be able to know the state status. Especially so following manual operation…

Anu one who has ideas or work around etc…??

Short answer: no.

Replace the devices for newer ones. You can poll but thedownsid eof that is that since these devices are old they also work on older and slower baudrates rendering your zwave “busy”. Poll does work for 1 or 2 devices but if youincrease it, it will slow down your network (make it instable).

My solution was: stop polling and replace the devices I needed status for.

You are probably right. Its to bad as I have a number of these devices which works fine except for the polling issue…

Yes, mine were indeed all deuwi devices, worked fine. But no “instant status updates”…
