Can’t navigate back to main page in iOS HA app

Last night I was checking out some available extensions in the app and left the app running in the background as I went to sleep. This morning there was an iOS update and I updated my phone.

Now I am stuck on the information page of that one extension (the extension itself is not important because this is a navigational error) and there is no link back to the main page of HA. There is a back arrow top left but I can tap it all I want, it’s not going anywhere.

I tried several things such as downloading the extension, removing it again or clicking on any of the other links on that page but I keep being stuck on that page. I’ve force quit the app, I checked the Apple Settings to see if there is a flag to make the app ignore any previous last-state information but there is not. I tried change the app language and restarted it but I still end up on that one page.

Is there something else I can do to navigate back to the main page where I can pick a dashboard or the settings page? I guess my last option is to delete the entire app but I’m hoping that won’t be necessary?

Try using an iOS Shortcut with a Home Assistant Open Page action, or Perform Action with Navigate.

Kill and relaunch the app?

Won’t work if Remember Last Page is set, which it looks like it is from the description.

Swipe in from the left.

Yes!! This did it. Great of you to think of this. Thank you! :pray:t2:

Complicated way of solving it when a swipe in from the left opens the menu.

on ios you can also use the HA widget to open a sidebar section directly

@tom_l yes but that is not immediately obvious from the app, especially to new or otherwise inexperienced user

ugh - yes and now I see that the OP had already force-quit the app anyway,
