Is there anyway to “hack” the Ring Door Bell Camera, so that any of its features would be usable locally/without needing username/password or internet connection? Is there any way to flash a generic firmware on it to make it act as a normal ip camera at least?

Would like to know the same! Am very happy that none of my 100+ sensors and actuators rely on internet connectivity (except Darksky weather) and want to keep it like that 
Let’s someone can figure out how to flash these buggers. They’re essentially useless within the HA environment without internet connection and monthly subscription, which is just sad.
Another way of seeing it : which other device would better work with HA ?
