Can this be used as a source for media players?

So I’m curious if these could be used so I can have my non-smart speaker used as a source for my itunes media player card in HA.

If not, is there any solution for wanting to add sources for media players?

Thru hardwire or bluetooth, yes. Keep in mind though that Amazon will not play your local mp3 files… only Amazon authorized media sources (itunes is an authorized source).

Do you know how I would add it as a source in my HA iTunes media player? Or any other media player. It found my phone and computer as sources but not sure how to add a new source as it found those automatically

But in iTunes it is possible to add mp3’s, so wouldn’t that make this speaker able to play mp3’s albeit a bit hacky?

Dunno. My personal experience is when I try to feed an mp3 via HA media players, Alexa complains and will not comply. Although Alexa will play mp3’s from my Plex media server via the Plex audio skill directly from Amazon.
Go figure…
