Can you cut the power to Nextion display

While it’s uploading the new TFT file?

I had a very rough time getting it to work, most likely because the pinout of the lilygo ESP device is wrong.
When I finally got it working the baud rate was at 9600.

Now about five hours later it’s at 20%.
What happens if I just cut the power? Has anyone tried?

I can only inform you about my personal experience, no guarantee… using a NSpanel had similar issues, after hours I cut the power and then the screen would not respond. However, I was able to upload a new tft without much ado (via the service) and then all was fine, the 2nd load took 3 mins…not 3+hrs

I got a system error on the display but I can upload a new tft.
But not through the ESP. It refuses to use any other baud rate than 9600.
I have to use a FTDI adapter and upload from Nextion editor

Odd, I also have a few esp/nextion (non nspanel) combi and they work fine, using rx/tx

Well it does, but very slowly.
I connected it to the computer and could set the baud to 500 000 something and the transfer was done in a second.
But through the ESP I can’t use more than 9600.

It works, so no reason to bother.
