Can you recommend thermostats for older multi-zone house

Hi, I’ve got a house built in 1953 with a really awesome multi-zone heating system. The thermostats are connected to a brand new boiler in the basement. There’s no central air, and I have no interest in spending $30,000 minimum to install it.

Each of the three bedrooms has its own thermostat, plus one in the living room. The existing thermostats are really old. The newest one is probably from the 90s, and the rest might even be original to the house. Two of them have old mercury level gauges, for heaven’s sake. So as you can imagine, there’s no C wire or anything. Technicians who installed the boiler said the time and labor involved in dropping wires down to the basement would be prohibitive, not to mention having to cut through ceilings and walls and the damage that would have to be repaired afterwards.

I would need four smart thermostats, all that can run on two wires. Battery operated is fine, probably going to have to be the default. I figure I can use HA to create schedules and be the brains behind them. I don’t need super complex automations, but I’d like to be able to turn off the heat when I’m not home, schedule them to come on when I leave the office, and so on. I’m in the US. Thanks so much!
