Cannot acces HA anymore

Hi All,

I’ve got a “funny” one since this midday I can no longer connect to HA using any means I know.

I cannot reach http://192.168.1.125:8123/ or http://homeassistant.local:8123/

Connection via the remote URL is also not working. I’ve tried several reboots of both HA and the router/internet in the house.

The HA connected via ethernet and shows up in the router devices log.

Anything else I can try? Or will the be a case of doing a full reset? (It’s a HA Yellow box).

Hook up a monitor to see what is going on.

Did your reboots include power cycling the Yellow Box ?

I tried a few of those yes. I am going to grab it now and move it to a place with a monitor as suggested by Edwin_D to see if I can get anything usefull on screen.

were you able resolve the issue ?

try looking in the admin page of your router to see if it has grabbed a new IP, then try that IP:8123/. Still wouldn’t explain why homeassistant.local doesn’t work but its worth a try.

Connecting to HA is always via a remote system/URL, how did you do it in the first place?!
A basic test can be to ping command to what you think is the right address so ‘ping 192.168.1.125’ should give you a reply from that address.
If it cannot be reached, you will get a reply with the address from the system you are pinging from with a ‘Destination host unreachable’

Connecting to the IP address should always work, IF the address is correct AND your HA is OK.
‘homeassistant.local’ can sometimes fail due to other issues.
