So last core update has kicked me out of HA UI, and right now i cannot access the UI. I can ping the ip address though.
On a FB groub I was told to use a spare keyboard and a monitor with a HDMI cable to connect to the HA console directly. I have connected the odroid N2+ Blue console to a monitor and a keyboard directly, I am at the command prompt now. BUt what do do next to fix this issue?
How do i proceed next after a possible failed upgrade after i have logged into the command prompt?
The first thing. you could do is rollback and see if the issue persists - it may not have been the upgrade.
ha core update --version 2022.11.0
Substitute the last version that worked.
Thanks for ur replies, i tried this, also had a ethernet cable connected to the switch so just in case the command goes looking for old binaries online. I tried to rollback to the version you mentioned,
But still it looks like the rollback did not work. When i hit the command
banner
ha still shows its 2022.11.2
I do have daily backups on google cloud… do u think that should the last resort?
Yeah maybe - you will need to do a clean install first unless someone out there knows how to do a restore from command line.
The issue has been resolved. Not sure, after a reboot, i ran the command again to rollback the version and voila it went through, and no i am back to 2022.11.0
I need to see why this failed. Will upgrade the core after a few days, i guess not a lot of folks upgrade versions as soon as they hit the repo.
Thanks so much for looking into this.
I bet there are thousands that do just that.
