Cannot access home assistant in VirtualBox

HA loads via the Win 10 virtualbox interface and appears to be available in the Vbox window. However it no longer can be accessed using its posted ip address. I am planning to reinstall unless there is some other way to get it back, but need to access the backups before I install it. What is the best way to get and utilize the backups?
Thanks,
Kerry

You should probably provide more information. What changed between the tie when you had access to now? Have you ever created a Snapshot in Virtualbox or a Backup in HA?

Have you tried accessing it using http://homeassistant.local:8123 ?

I have made backups in HA but no snapshots. I had not used HA in about a month due to travel and holidays. It always started up okay before then. I am still trying configurations issues but they did not appear to cause problems with HA operation.
I can load HA with vbox and see the ip address in the vbox window. But get a response that the attempt to access it in Chrome was refused.
Today I reviewed vbox log files and found many instances of errors as follows:

I googled “Device USB\VID_2109&PID_2813\5&10b48a23&0&6 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match.” and found this site which had several things to try.
8 Fixes For Device not Migrated on Windows (2022).
I tried several of them but I did not locate the updated drivers for the bios or chip set.
I found that my mouse and keyboard were on one of the USBs in question. It was performing well, but I uninstalled it and rebooted and it was back again. I tried to update the driver, but like always, Microsoft claimed it was the best driver.

So I am not really sure this is the issue to prevent access to HA and am ready to reinstall, once I retrieve my backups.

Try updating VirtualBox to the newest version with the extension pack and also remove any unnecessary USB devices and try again.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did update vbox and extension pack. Also found that my most recent HA install had some files missing so vbox reverted to a previous HA version which was corrupted. I removed the old HA and reinstalled the vdi file in the current version because it was missing. Vbox does not give that missing vdi error now , but does note that the snapshots are missing and goes no further. I have no idea how to correct that issue. Do you?
