3/ besides that I cannot control the cycle and dryness level - I can also not see the currently chosen cycle and dryness level. So I would like to see that state information as well.
It’s pretty useless isn’t it.
I was disappointed as well.
Their stove / oven is kinda the same.
There you can set a time and temp but not turn anything on. even with smart control button on.
I would not say useless.
I can start it remotely with home assistant and also the state information is useful (e.g. it reports the energy consumption which allows me to add this device in the home assistant energy dashboard).
Well the energy numbers are there. The wrinkle thing is there. I don’t use any of that.
I don’t know how to turn it on from HA, and I don’t think I can turn it on in the app either.
I push smart control and it says smart conteol is on. It runs and you open the dryer door and smart control goes off.
I get an indicator that the thing is running, but I have that anyway from powerline sensor from the dryer before.
For me, it doesn’t do anything.
And setting the senttings that is indeed missing, but you have to put the wet clothes in anyway, so what are you going to do with those settings.
It has smarts, but kinds useless, as I said.
OK, I looked at the Samsung thing, and you can set those settings, then you have to go there and push smart control and you can start it, maybe. I’m currently with a broken leg and can’t get to the basement to push smart control, but I assume that’s the way it works.
Still kinda useless. You have to be there to turn on smart control every time, so just press the cycle settings instead.
Now if I had a matching washer and the washer sent the dryer load information, that would be useful. I don’t have a matching washer.
