Hi, I know this is basic and there are tutorials to setup the wifi, but what surprises me is that HA says "Connected to ", while my router does not show the device in the network (only as an Ethernet-LAN connection). So whenever I pull the LAN cable, HA is unreachable.
You configured HA to get its IPv4/IPv6-address assigned from your Router/DHCP Server. For whatever reason the Router/DHCP server does not assign a static ip to your HA wlan interface.
Discover the MAC-address of the wlan interface of your HA device and assign a static ip to it through your router/DHCP-server. Don’t forget to restart the HA Host after you have configured that setting.
So, I now gave WIFI a fixed IP (different from the ETH) and now HA shows up twice on my router, but both times on LAN:
What I don’t get is, why the second IP on my router is so different from the fixed IP i entered on WLAN0 on the HA:
On my IP Scanner the assigned IPs show up:
Bottome line: When I pull the LAN cable, nothing is connected. Is there a way to hard reset all saved network information?
You assigned that fixed IP through your HA configuration but not directly with your Speedport Modem/Router.
Set back to DHCP with your HA config and assign a fixed IP for the WLAN interface of your RASPI on the Speedport. Should be some unused address inside the 192.168.2.-space.
