A long time ago (more than a year now) I had HACS running happily under my HA install. After some unknown combination of adding integrations and updating the HA OS HACS stopped being able to add new components. At the time, I tried the official ‘remove’ options to no avail. Then after several frustrating attempts to revive/restore HACS I went full scorched earth to try and remove any reference of it from my config manually. As you can probably guess since I’m posting this, nothing worked.
Weirdly, the stuff that I had installed prior to things going belly up are still functional. An example being the Hubitat integration that I can uninstall and reinstall to this day even without HACS. I did manage to save out a “hacs_backup” folder just in case I was able to one day get things running again, but I would be more than happy to start back from square one if it meant I could get back on track.
Despite my ‘scorched earth’ deleting of every hacs reference I can find, it does still show up in the +Add Integrations menu, but when I try to reinstall I get this blank screen:
And, no, checking the boxes and clicking submit doesn’t work. It just spins indefinitely.
I guess my hope is that someone could help me truly blow away hacs in a way that then allows me to reinstall everything?
