Hi, I have critical issues with OS 10.1 (which is the current latest one).
- my current install just died, doesn’t boot anymore. Didn’t happen once in my 5 years of using HA, but OK, can be the SD card
- insert NEW SanDisk Ultra resilient card into my Pi4, flash HAOS with Etcher. No dice, LED flashes in the same way the dead install did, doesn’t boot
- bust out old generic X86 mini-pc. Balena Etcher freezes and then crashes while flashing the recommended image. I have NEVER seen Etcher crash or freeze
- I have ultimately managed to flash the OS onto an external drive, but it fails to download (or, I fail to upload) my backup onto it. It just spits “400 Bad request” after 20s. I have done this many times in the past, without issues.
- now I can’t even get CLEAN, new install to show up: miniPC shows "VFS: found ext4 with invalid superblock checksum and then endless “cannot connect do docker daemon” loop, no matter what I flash the HA 9.5 image onto
- 10.1 on the same miniPC stops at “Failed to start wait until kernel time synchronized home assistant”
tl;dr catastrophic failures with HA OS 10.1, with different storage options on different machines
Any tips? Thanks!
EDIT: looks like I’m having multiple hardware failures happening all at once. Rpi4 seems to be dying, two new SD cards, an external SSD are failing AND there’s CRC errors in my TWO cloud HA backups. A solar flare maybe?
