Cannot mount Backups at /data/mounts/Backups because it is not empty

Hi HA community

A few days ago I had a power outage and since then I can’t access my NAS from HA for backups.

I always get the following error:

I have already tried to remount the network storage and created a new share on my NAS. But unfortunately all without success. It seems that somehow only the “Backup” type is affected. “Medien” I can add.

I am using a Synology NAS.

Thans and best regards
Buhli

+1, I tried clearing out my mounts, but nothing’s there. There are two issues already open on GH

Nobody has a solution?

Hey Buhli,

I also tackled a lot with this issue and tried to solve the mounting from my NAS into home assistant to automate backups.

I tried smb and nfs, changed permissions, etc, but nothing worked.

Finally, the mounting worked again after giving the network storage a different name.

best regards,

Changing the mount Name

This name will be shown to you in the UI, and will also be the name of the folder created on your system

worked for me!

Same issue. I just erase all file in the mount directory on my HA.
I use this share for Frigate media on my Synology. I think frigate write in and it was not already mounted after a HA upgrate.
