Cannot serial flash lilygo T-Relay S3 to esp-idf

Hello I purchased a LilyGo T-RelayS3,
and I like it to be flashed with the esp-idf framework. but for somehow this fails over and over again.
I can flash arduino,
but whe I set esp-idf and then serial flash I get wierd behaviar.

  • no wifi connection at all, no accesspoint and not connected to my wifi.
  • random relays are enabled at boot time, different once everytime.
  • the Com port connection keeps flashing and disconnecting while not holding the “boot” button, therefor I cannot serial log what is happing, because it reports a disconneciton every time.

is there something I can do to flash esp-idf?
