Cant access front end on what was a perfectly running Hassio install

I initially had a problem a week or so ago whereby I got a number of entity not available on the GUI, though there were numerous, some were still OK, including Cameras and Hue.
I restarted (unplug and plug back in) and all seemed to be ok.
I then ran into the same problem earlier this week. The restart had no success now I cannot get into the front end GUI but still have Samba and SSH access.
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks

Don’t pull power to reboot the system… that’s a good way to corrupt your installation. You can just restart Home Assistant by going to Configuration > Server Controls > Restart.

Can you access the home assistant log through Samba or SSH?

I always found that restarting the RPI that way didn’t seem to do a thorough restart? Yes I can still access both Samba and SSH. Appreciate the help.

If you want to reboot the host, go to Hass.io > System > Reboot. You shouldn’t need to do that too often though. Configuration > Server Controls > Restart is to restart Home Assistant, not restart (reboot) the Pi.

Look through the Home Assistant log to see if there’s anything in there.

If there should be as I see documented a Homeassistant.log file under config I dont have anything.
I have one text file called Home-assistant its contents are as follows:
2019-12-11 15:58:40 WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder] Ended unfinished session (id=129 from 2019-12-11 10:14:38.494967).
Thanks

Having looked elsewhere this refers to a Harmony problem. I’ll see if taking them offline improves things.

You probably don’t have “file extensions” enabled in your Windows explorer view.

Uncheck the box that says “Hide extensions for known file types”

Thanks thats found it!!
Wow log file is long…
I have since turned off Harmony devices and the GUI has come back up. Amazing Harmony was responsible for that.
I still have lots of Entity Not available issues yet they are.
