Hi everybody,
I am struggling with my HA setup. I can access via homeassistant.local:8123 also IP address works 10.1.1.1:8123. My local dns server resolves homeassistant.mydomain.com to 10.1.1.1 http://homeassistant.mydomain.com:8123 brower shows empty response (confirmed by chrom developer tools, request is sent to HA, empty response). Why do I want to make this work with DNS name? Plan to use https, certificate SAN needs to match the name in the URI to get rid of browser chucking a wobbly on cert validation.
Poked around with some config settings external_url: & internal_url: as well as base_url: so far no joy 
google and forum search did not return any solution
hope somebody has an idea, thanks in adv.
