I recently purchased a SiLabs UZB-7 and a Honeywell T6 Pro Z-WAVE intending to use them with Home Assistant. I installed the official Z-Wave add-on & integration, added my Z-Wave controller without issue, and installed the T6 Pro into my house. When I put the T6 Pro into inclusion mode and try to add it as a device in HA, it times out in the T6 saying “Failed to include” and some time later times out in HA as well with the message “We have not found any device in inclusion mode. Make sure the device is active and in inclusion mode”.
I’m sure that distance between my Z-Wave controller and the T6 Pro isn’t a problem; just to see if it worked, I took it off the wall and held it right next to the controller while repeating the above steps. No dice.
I also tried using the Z-Wave JS UI add-on instead of the official one, and while it took a lot more effort to set up initially, once I got it to see the Z-Wave controller and tried to include the device, I got a similar error message.
I have no idea how to go about debugging this as HA doesn’t give me any logs and the T6 Pro is a fairly barebones device without any Z-Wave related options other than “include me”.
Has anyone experienced something similar? How could I go about trying to resolve this?
