I’m runnning Hassio on a Raspberry3, connected via ethernet to a Virgin Media router. I was using the raspberry 2.5A power adaptor. After a few months without problems I started to have trouble connecting to Home Assistant; by manually unplugging and plugging the rasp I was able to restart it but it would stop working after a few minutes. I then tried to use an iPad charger (which is 2.1A); the situation improved a little but I still have to restart the rasp every 1 or 2 days.
Having said that, I am still not sure the power adaptor is the problem and I would like to rule out other things before changing it (I remember being able to use an iPhone charger 1A without problems and had only bought the 2.5A for peace of mind)…
Today I had to restart Home Assistant again; rpi_power shows high temperature upon restart but then stays stable throughout the day; there is no sign of overheating or drop in voltage at the time the raspberry crashed
Just crashed again; now I cannot even access the log; it tries to load it for minutes and it never finishes; ha is still running because I can control my lights using HomeKit and I receive some notifications; I just can’t access the front end
I’ve bought a new SD (kingston 64gb heavy duty) and restored my snapshot on a fresh install
Let’s see if it makes a difference, as the power adaptor is fine
