Can't control an Aeonlabs Gen 6 dimmer module

I have an aeon labs gen 6 dimmer module (ZW099) that I’m trying to add to my network and I’m having an issue controlling it. I successfully added it to the network, and it is alive and visible, but it isn’t working. Sending a homeassistant.turn_off command causes the lights to dim slightly, but not turn off completely.

Has anyone had success getting this device working in home assistant?

I use one, the only problem is that in HA the color wheel is showing.

Did you have to do anything special to get it up and running, or did it “just work”? I’m beginning to think the unit is just DOA.

The fact the color wheel shows up also makes me wonder if home assistant is reading the device right. The module presents as two devices (the dimmer and the front led), and only the led should have color info associated with it.

Included as secure device and it just works.

Okay. That’s what I did too. Looks like I’m returning it.

Btw, do you have control over the led color in nightlight mode? I’ve done some digging and it sort of looks like the parameters aren’t being mapped right

No, it is out of sight.

I exchanged it for a new one and it definitely was a bad unit. Interestingly, the new switch shows up differently. The old one showed two instance ids, one for the dimmer and one for the front led, while this one just has one… So it looks like there was a firmware difference too

new to HA and just included this in my HA- ZwaveJS environment. I do not get an RGB selector or option to change colors for the front ring…

I did have to change the Parameter 81 to night light mode from “load” under the zwave options.

Is there something I am missing to get this setup right?
