Can't create new automation in web

Hello,

in HA 2021.12.2 (and also with the previous version) I am unable to create a new automation using the web ui. From create automation I select either to create a new empty one or select one of two templates. Behavior is identical.

The form for the automation appears for a blink of an eye and disappears. I am still a the list of automations.

There are no log messages generated.

Is the position of the include block in the configuration.yaml important? I have it

group: !include groups.yaml
automation: !include automations.yaml
script: !include scripts.yaml
scene: !include scenes.yaml

at the very bottom and a couple of configuration above it.

Not an isolated case. Mine exhibits this same behavior.

Running 2021.12.3… got the same thing now. Nothing in the log file. Found this thread.

In FireFox:
[+ Add Automation] > Start with an empty automation > just redraws the list of automations.

  • Tried clear cache/data/cookies, tried force refresh, didn’t help.

Tried Chromium Browser which I have no used in a while, had an older version of the frontend cached and it was able to add an automation no problem. I ignored the “A new version of the frontend is available” message. I then reloaded the frontend, and was still able to create an automation in Chromium.

Tried in Firefox again, still not working, but can use it to edit the automation I created in Chromium. Just can’t create a new one.

Same here.
I’m duplicating existing automations as a workaround.

I do have the same problem when I use Firefox but not when I use Google Chrome.

I hope that will help you to do some work

I use Firefox Release 95.0.1 from December 16, 2021, do not think that I saw the problem before that date, but not sure

I am experiencing the same problem. Using http://x.x.x.x:8123/config/automation/edit/new will also open the empty automation editor.

Iam having same issue, can’t add any automations anymore
I think it has something to do with me edditing the blueprints and repositioning them is that possible ?

Here, it works again. HA 2021.12.10, Firefox 96.0.3, Linux.
