Can't create user account

Hi all,

I’m brand new to Home Assistant, just moved from openhab to that great new community :smiley:

I did install Home Assistant using the “Python Virtual Env” option. So far so good, I can access the web gui.

There, I ran into the challenge that I can’t create a user account.

Whatever I try, it says : “Bad response from server: 500”

Any idea, what could cause this?
