Can't find my Ikea Styrbar remotes on Home Assistant

Hello all,

I’m pretty new to HA, but I’ll do my best to explain;

I have an Ikea Dirigera with which I drive some Ikea lights. They are connected to HA through the Home kit integration.

I’ve recently bought a couple of Styrbar remotes as well as a Vallhorn motion detector. I have set up all three devices through Ikea’s app, in which they appear to be working. However, on HA, I can only find the motion detector; the two remotes are nowhere to be seen.

I have tried un-pairing and re-pairing both remotes, with no success. I have also tried un-pairing the motion detector, which didn’t change much for the remotes.

I’ve also tried restarting HA and the Dirigera hub, but nothing changed either.

I am out of ideas; do any of you know of a fix?

No first hand experience with your setup, but, generally speaking, remotes are not represented by entities in HA, but events are sent.

You can see them in the developer tools, event tab.

Shouldn’t I be able to see its battery as an entity ?

And in any case, it doesn’t fire any events in the event tab either.

Is there any place I could look for logs? Maybe I’ll find something there
