Can't get a stable Zigbee network since going to SLZB-06M

I recently moved to a new house and restarted my zigbee journey from 0. This time using a SLZB-06M placed very central in the home over PoE.

In the previous house I used a dongle (sonoff USB dongle), my zigbee network was rock solid and almost never devices that went offline.

Now in the new house with the SLZB-06M I’ve never seen such an instable zigbee network. So I must be doing something wrong…

I use Z2M

I’ve tested both the 20240510 Z2M firmware (ember) as the 20240330 (ezsp), both give me problems.

The errors I’m now seeing for devices that do not respond are:

2024-10-16 23:13:14z2m: Publish 'set' 'state' to 'SmartSwitch.robotmaaier' failed: 'Error: ZCL command 0xa4c13886e6ae87ec/1 genOnOff.on({}, {"timeout":10000,"disableResponse":false,"disableRecovery":false,"disableDefaultResponse":false,"direction":0,"reservedBits":0,"writeUndiv":false}) failed (Delivery failed for '5503'.)'

This is on EMBER firmware, I got other errors while trying the EZSP, but lets focus on ember since this is the newer of the two. Core firmware of the SLZB dongle is v2.5.6

Where should I first start looking? Any tips? What else do I need to share to get to the bottom of this… I have spend hours troubleshooting and I don’t know where to look anymore…

I’ve set the adapter setting to ember (both via the settings within the Z2M UI) as checked it in the Z2M configuration.yaml file and it is also set to ember.

any help would be very much appreciated

Regarding the hardware, I already have quite a dense zigbee mesh, so in theory, range issues should not be the problem
