Can't get both Zwave and Zigbee to work at the same time with HUSBZB-1

So I’m new to HA and I’ve been searching for a solution to this issue but have yet to find it…

I installed an HUSBZB-1 and set up both the ZHA and Z-wave integrations. I then added all of my zigbee devices without too much hassle. But when I tried to add my Z-wave devices HA couldn’t see them so I put the stick on an extension since I’ve seen that many people recommend it to reduce interference.

Well, the good news is that allowed me to set up the Zwave devices. Bad news is it also seemed to break my zigbee connections. After much frustration I removed the extension and plugged the stick back into my pi directly and all of my zigbee devices came back. But all my Zwave went to unavailable. This process repeated whenever I added or removed the extension cable.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

TL;DR - I can’t connect to Zwave devices when HUSBZB-1 is plugged into my pi’s USB port directly but I can connect to Zigbee. If I use an extension I can connect to Zwave but I lose Zigbee.

What device port are you using for each of them?

I was using 3.0. Switching to 2.0 solved it!!!

Any idea why? Just to satiate my curiosity.

Oh, I have no idea.

But actually I was talking about the device port as in /dev/ttyACM0, /dev/ttyUSB0,… etc.

But as long as it’s working then it’s a win.
