Cant install home-assistant docker on truenas scale VM (Debian 11)

I can ping 8.8.8.8 but cant do yahoo.com, i was able to install docker but cant seem to move further along…
I am on the latest Debian 11, truenas vm scale

Is there a quick fix for this?

i added 104.26.4.238 home-assistant.io to my /etc/hosts file and can ping, but im still getting the same above errors

is it possible to force it to use ipv4?

Your DNS setup seems faulty.
Try to run “ha info resolution” in the console and see what it says.
