Can't install Xiaomi Aqara m3 HACS integration

I’m trying to install the Xiaomi Aqara m3 integration by AlexxIT. It’s now in the HACS library so I installed it directly. But the youtube shows going to configuration->integrations and installing it again there. It doesn’t show up after HACS install, only under the HACS tab itself. Is this integration broken under core 2021.3.3?
FYI I’m on Mi Home firmware 1.4.7_0160 but that shouldn’t make any difference, I can’t even start the Aqara integration front end.
