I installed a new version of Home Assistant on Proxmox (moved it from ESXi by using backup/restore). Everything seemed to go relatively smoothly. I was working on doing some notifications (smtp) and saw a few tutorials to use NodeRed. I figured I would give this a try, but I could not load the addon - I got the following message:
"Failed to install add-on"
’AddOnManager.install’ blocked from execution, no host internet connection
I then noticed that none of the integrations that connect to the outside world were working either. Examples are: Alexa Media Player, MyQ, Radio Browser.
Then I figured I would check the DNS information and I see that DNS is the following:
111.1 - This is my firewall device which routes to the internet
111.3 - This is my DNS server, which really helps locate intranet devices
1.1.1.1 - This is Cloudflare DNS server
Based upon those - I would expect the OS to have plenty of access to the internet. Is there something else I need to be looking at? I did see this on the settings > system > network:
“External access disabled”
Which somewhat flies in the face of the DNS settings, but maybe a clue?
