Can't restore snapshot proxmox vitual machine

Current installation: ubuntu server -> docker -> home assistant

New installation: proxmox -> home assistant (juanmtech manual)
Installed the samba addon to gain acces tot the backup folder of home assistant

I made a snapshot on the ubuntu server machine moved it to proxmox and tried to restore it on proxmox.

When I hit the restore (or wipe and restore) button the home assistant freezes

I tried to make a snapshot on the proxmox system and then tied to restore it with the same result. the system freezes. I only get the notification “Page is not responding”

There is nothing in the logs about the restore action

What did I do wrong?

Had the same problem with a Debian install. Opened an issue on github,

I would advice to make a full snapshot within HA on old os, Copy config folder to be sure.
Then on new os do a fresh ha install on proxmox using whiskers script, install the addons manually and do restore snapshot in HA.

I did the route you did though. A lot of work to get to qcow2 image and het uit om proxmox backup location.

Tried to install the addons before I did the restore with the same result.

Also did the install with the whiskers script. Same result. (commented on that post with the problem also)

Steps I took.

1 clean install proxmox and home assistant (script)
2 installed the samba addon
3 create an snapshot
4 tried to restore the snap shot (with only the samba addon)

Than I get this screen and nothing happens

I think it has something to do with chrome.

I restored the snapshot with the ssh terminal and that went fine. I also tied it wit firefox and that als went fine.

And a likely cause. Chrome being an issue is an important one. Thanks

If somebody encounters the same problem. It was the Selenium IDE plugin that causes the problem.
