I have restored a backup of HA to my NUC and ESPhome Addon is not running. So I go to ‘start’ it, but it doesn’t.
How do I get it started.

I thought about uninstalling it and then adding it again, but would that mean I’d lose the yaml files I have
No, your yaml files are in directory /config/esphome they are not deleted when you uninstall the Add-On, however it is always good to make backups 
Update:
A reboot of HA sorted it. ESPHome is now available.
