Can't update hassio

Hi there,

I am trying to update my Home Assistant from 0.94.0 to 0.96.5 but t does not work.
This is the error:

19-08-04 08:24:32 INFO (SyncWorker_12) [hassio.docker.interface] Update image homeassistant/raspberrypi3-homeassistant:0.94.0 to homeassistant/raspberrypi3-homeassistant:0.96.5
19-08-04 08:24:32 INFO (SyncWorker_12) [hassio.docker.interface] Pull image homeassistant/raspberrypi3-homeassistant tag 0.96.5.
19-08-04 08:24:33 ERROR (SyncWorker_12) [hassio.docker.interface] Can't install homeassistant/raspberrypi3-homeassistant:0.96.5 -> 500 Server Error: Internal Server Error ("readlink /mnt/data/docker/overlay2/l: invalid argument").
19-08-04 08:24:33 WARNING (MainThread) [hassio.homeassistant] Update Home Assistant image fails

And also:

18-06-22 11:12:18 INFO (MainThread) [hassio.updater] Fetch update data from https://version.home-assistant.io/stable.json
18-06-22 11:12:19 WARNING (MainThread) [hassio.updater] Can't fetch versions from https://version.home-assistant.io/stable.json: Cannot connect to host version.home-assistant.io:443 ssl:None [Address not available]

How do I upgrade now?

I’m with that exact error too. I’m waiting for another update to see before clean install

I opened an issue on github and the answer there was:

@follox

500 Server Error: Internal Server Error ("readlink /mnt/data/docker/overlay2/l: invalid argument").

Seems like you have a corrupt Docker file system. There is currently not much you can do about this and could be an indicator of a failing SD card as well. Re-installing and restoring a snapshot is the best advice for this at this moment.

I’m getting a very similar error. I also notice that if I use putty to connect to my server and run sudo apt-get upgrade it gets messages such as

E: Failed to fetch http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xorg-server/xwayland_1.19.6-1ubuntu4.3_amd64.deb Could not resolve ‘gb.archive.ubuntu.com

I’m a linux noob, but might this suggest the machine can’t access the internet?

Probably yes… Can you install add-ons?
In my case, everything is working normally (including updating add-ons) except can’t install the update. @balloob will resolve this after the vacation hahaha :grin:

Do you have any luck updating to the newest version (0.97.0)?
If I try to update I got these errors:

I only figured the new update with your post :+1:
And yes is updated my Hass.io :tada::tada:
I got one ssl error at first run, but after unplug the power to restart… Everything goes to normal.
Your problem seems to be different, have tried restart?
