Has anyone had any luck configuring these in HA? They have the own app called Capstone HA. I also tried to hook up with the Tuya app but it didn’t work. They are priced right at Sam’s Club at 2 for $19.99. Here is the link and I’ve attached a link and a few images of one of them torn apart. I cant get the main board up without destroying it completely based on how it’s made.

I know this is a dead thread, but I was able to get mine taken apart a few months ago. It’s and ESP32 I think, and you can get the main board out by removing the screws that hold the wall plugs to the board/case. The holes in the upper left corner of your second picture is your JTAG, but I don’t know how to trace those, or really how to begin.
If someone more knowledgeable than me took a look at one, I bet that it could be hacked to run tasmota or esphome pretty easily, while the capstone app/service isn’t the most reliable the plugs themselves seem pretty bulletproof with reliable energy monitoring. Just wish we could integrate it with home assistant.
I’ll see if I can take mine apart again and try to get a picture of it.
I have a couple of these as well, and I’d be interested in trying to get them to work in HomeAssistant.
Sorry for reviving this old thread again, but I resist throwing away these devices. I decided to dismantle it, and here are some photos. The chip is an esp8285, but I can’t find the pinout for that module. Hopefully, someone can guide me. I think with the pinout, it shouldn’t be so complicated to set up in esphome. the chip on the green board is a RENERGY RN8209C.
