Cards not updating in companion app dashboard (Android)

Hi, I have installed the latest HA Companion app on my new android tablet (as of 28th of april 2023) and is planning to use this as a dashboard in the kitchen. I have set the companion app as default on the tablet and the screen as always ON. However, the cards/entities/camera views stops updating after some time which means that everything you see on the dashboard is old values/images. Then if I click on the screen or open one of the cards/camera views the entire dashboard gets updated again. Could anyone help me to solve this? How can I get it to constantly update all values?

check that you have granted the app background access according to ty our device settings, also there is an option in user profile to automatically close the connection you can try to turn that off too.
