CC Variable not compatible with HassOS?

HI,

trying to configure CC Variable (Custom component to declare/set variables) in my clean HassOS setup, I run into the error of

Apparently the variable component isn’t setup correctly, because in the dev tools/services the variable service is not available.

Is this component not compatible with HAssos?
Ive copied the exact code from my Hassio setup, which works just fine… all motion sensors I try to use in the Variable work fine too.

Solved.
Somehow the cpied file variable.py had 0 bytes… don’t know what had happened but after another copy, the CC is working as before . Cool.
