I have my HA sending notifications to my phone. Sent fine, no errors.
On my Android phone the HA app is installed and appears to be working ok.
When a notification is received, it appears on my lockscreen, and then I login and the notification disappears. No record of it anywhere.
I’m confused. Where did it go?

your notifications should be in the status bar unless you swiped it away
But they are not. If the phone is locked they popup. I login to the phone and nothing. I’ve been using Android for about 15y now so I think I have the phone figured out 
I’ve checked the App permissions and Notifications are allowed.
sounds more like device behavior, maybe try checking channel settings?

I have a pretty simple install and am using the built-in service.

I believe I have it solved.
The notification message length was quite long… more than 50 chars and now that I’ve shortened it, things work as I expect.

Samsung S21 FE 5G with latest available updates installed.
The HA version is current and the HA Android app was just installed yesterday.
